On April 29th 2014, The Indian Government: Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) and the Delegation of the European Union to India hosted an event entitled India-EU Workshop on Research & Innovation on Information and Communication Technology and Electronics (ICTE). The full day workshop was held at the offices of DeitY in New Delhi, India.
Representing the Trustworthy ICT area, Mr. James Clarke presented the topics identified for international cooperation (INCO) between the EU and India specifically in the areas of ICT Trust and Security, including Research in Cyber Security, improved CERT cooperation, Mobile and Cloud Computing Trust and Security, amongst others. Mr. Clarke and BIC International Advisory Group (IAG) member, Mr. Abhishek Sharma, also presented the plans for the continuation of the Extended Working Groups (EWG) and IAG for the future. The event was primarily dedicated to India and EU cooperation areas in the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme, focussing on mutually beneficial INCO areas related to Information and Communication Technology and Electronics (ICTE).
